Double strollers make life easier for parents with twins or children in close age range. Double strollers are a modern convenience and help make life much less hectic. Just about every major stroller manufacturer produces double strollers in many different models and sizes. The strollers are becoming more innovative by the minute to make life easier and easier.

There are several different types of double strollers. Tandem double strollers are quickly becoming quite popular. It is the same width as a standard stroller and offers stadium style seating so children in the back seat can catch the same view as the child in the front seat. Tandems can often accommodate a car seat in the back seat. Double umbrella strollers or side by side strollers are the original double stroller. They’re lightweight and easy to take on the go. They are wider than a standard single stroller and generally don’t accept car seats. Double jogging strollers are for the active parents. They feature the lightweight of a single jogger and have swivel/locking front wheels. They also don’t accept car seats. Double carriage strollers are large and perfect for parading the little ones around town.

Selecting a double stroller is about taste. A tandem stroller is perfect for daily activities because they fit through standard size doorways. For parents who enjoy taking a light walk down the street the side by side might be a better fit because they’re lightweight and allow the child the same view. Double jogging strollers are specifically designed with a triangular wheel base for jogging. Jogging strollers can tackle any type of surface from sand to blacktop. Double strollers have the same features as regular strollers such as storage baskets, safety harnesses, brakes, canopies and seat reclines.
